The person that I am

The people i knew
who seemed as though they care
made me realize
it was me who wanted them there

the family i had
who wanted to do my best
made me feel like
i was always being blessed

the friends i knew
who made me what i am now
made me always wonder
how

the person that i am
who's both bad and good
who always tries his best
and who is always misunderstood

the life that I'm in
is one for me to keep
and i must change it the way i want
before everything falls asleep
