So Long

Today is the day,
The day a girl gives her life away.
She wanted to stay with you,
But you played her like a fool.
She was young and depressed,
With all of her undying stress.
She would look up at you with her brown eyes,
Wishing and praying that you were mine.
God never answered her prayers,
And she thought that wasn't fair.
She took her life with one quick snap,
And before you knew it, she cracked.
She left you a note,
A note with out any hope.
She said "I wanted you to love me,
But now I know it will never be.
So for now, Have a good night,
Maybe I'll see you in another life."
She sealed the letter, not with a kiss,
But with tears full of bliss.
She put it in your locker after school,
Hoping you would get it, not another fool.
You opened the letter,
Hoping it would have been better.
You sat down with tears in your eyes,
Wondering if you let her life pass you by.
You walked to her home room,
hoping that it wasn't true.
She didn't make it to that class,
Nor the class after that.
You cried on your way home,
Hoping that you would be alone.
You sat down, wrote a note,
Without any hope.
You sealed it tight,
And grabbed a knife.
With one quick cut across your wrist,
You gave up your life of bliss.
Today is the day,
The day two kids give their life away.
