Societal Aches

Societal Aches

Cold stories wave through the media,
Elegant Damsels dance away the night,
Men bet on fortunes lost,
and life wavers, as it is tossed.

Beauty is triumphantly tip toed upon,
People lose their lives,
young mothers resort to lies,
And the choir sings on.

Echoes of Eternity blast throughout the Cathedral,
As silent metaphors of life resonate off the Balcony:

Unheard stories of sadness,
mis-balance,
dead desires,
and heartaches...

...Aches, alone, like no others,
hidden, revered,
and yet coveted by young mothers...

...Mothers, whom, in time will die,
and as a Widow, will continue to cry.

Banging politely on the Walls,
Satan triumphs as men fall,
Wonders of why and when,
the disease of life will end.

Trumpets Roar, Unfriendly Vibrations Resonate,
Windows Crack,
Barriers break,
Eyes Dilate.

Smiles in the empty Balconies light up the field and view,
Stars glide falling and fading out,
while men look up and shout,
smiles, aches, heart breaks.

When will Societal Aches cease to be?
When will life change before me...

When will that Weeping Willow Stop cryin' on his Pillow?

Nice :) I can imagine everything you describe, so vivid. And it has a thoughtful meaning to it... good work.
