Match Made In Heaven

by John   Nov 12, 2004

Left out of those poems, parts one through three
Are the thoughts that transpire when you make love to me
During this act they do hit me when I gaze at your eyes
And when you flash your smile, my love grows in size
How close we are as companions and friends
The fun times we share that never seem to end
Romantic walks through parks and lake shores
Even grocery shopping, or doing the chores
How we can talk about all things considered
And our opinions are honored, no one feels bitter
And all the while talking we find room to play
Joking and laughter make troubles go away
At times I've been down, but you've been there for me
Reassuring me things are not as bad as they seem
Your beauty's been argued, but I must insist,
I only have eyes for you, now cease and desist
When I look at you, I can't look away
I could stare into your eyes, all night and all day
And by the fact that your actions to me also show caring
How lucky I am that these feelings you're sharing
Everyone has needs; many settle for a few
But everything I need, I've found wrapped in you
And all of this tells me while we're making love
Ours is that match made in heaven above
