Goodbye

by joey   Nov 12, 2004

I'm laying here tonight
longing for your amiable face
praying to return to the genial place
and its unbearable feeling this alone

those lies you held up high
a love bond that was almost nigh
a pretend romantic night only lived to die
soon the sun will expose tomorrow
shinning to reveal the lie
divulging the truth and extend sorrow
with only more reasons to cry

the night shades it all
and disguised the heart's fall
but the light displays your genius fake
dark puzzles you've left in my mind
while repugnant words are playing in a lover's game
those insidious cards you play all the time
giving me the consolation of more pain

my hearts bloody stain
is stinging from hearing your name
salt is in my wounds
after hearing our tune
the only relief is being on those pills
in the dark desolate room
where i used to find you always smiling my way

maybe i'll live to see a day
when i'll be happy to learn
that happiness and love i no longer yearn

i'm saying the final goodbye
don't be naive
everyone understands why
so watch me wake-up and sit up without a single sigh
i will forget you
because your not worth a second of my regret.
