No Morality

by FTS Miles   Nov 12, 2004

There is no morality
to the murder of innocents
for crusade,
or the promulgation of fear
for agenda.

There is no morality
to the fanning of hatred
for "mandate"
or the weaving of lies
for power.

There is no morality
to sending youth to death
for crude,
or sowing poverty and hopelessness
for status.

So speak not to me of morality
when two souls wish to wed
for love,
and women seek self-determination
for freedom.

Speak not to me of morality
when the world clamors
for peace,
and the oppressed raise voices
for justice.

Speak not to me of morality,
for you work the Beast's work
and your campaign of de-evolution
sacrifices and summons forth
the millenium of Night.

i LOVE this...i love that you wrote a poem about the issues and hyppocritical preachings that are taught to us every day but never fulfilled. i appreciated the stance about marriage and women, that i can definetly understand. "speak to me not of morality for you work the beast's work" that line really summerizes what the whole piece of writing was about, i really admire and appreciate this poem, wonderful job.
