Dreams

by brin macnamara   Nov 13, 2004

I am worn out by my dreams
Old, tired, yet feeling alive.
Full of the youthful energy that Love bestows upon all who are seduced by her.
All day long I look upon the beauty of this lady.
A picture of Loveliness
So pleasing to the eye and heart,
the voice of a sonata.

Younger than I is she.
But..Do not men deepen with the years
Or is this too a part of my dreams?
An older mans dreams
Or visions..?

Nay dreams,
For that is all they can be.
O that I had these dreams when my youth was aflame!
A life time spent with my beloved would be mine.

Old men have dreams and young men have visions...

I like this. It is not traditional at all. It is very sweet.

that is so sad, yet strangely I am amazed . You are only as young as you feel. what are younger men, if not more immature than the older generation?
