Today i woke up

Today i woke up
choose either cereal or toast
got washed and dressed
and skimmed through the post

had a fight with a mate today
she was going to hit me with tears down her face
shake my head in disappointment
walked away, turned my face
but before i left completely
i turned around and said
its thanks to friends like you
that i wish to wake up dead

walked off crying
weren't the threat that made me cry
it was the fact she said what you waiting for
when i said i wanted to die
now of course i thought that she was mad
but that didn't change a thing
i was upset and angry
and thats were it all begins

came home early
as my mother checked the time
what are you doing home, are you alright
put on my plastic smile, yeah I'm fine
sat in the room for a minute or two
only to erase suspicion
as i leave the room to walk up the stairs
i have a premonition

got to the top turned left to my room
shut the door and closed the blind
shake my head in disbelief
isn't life unkind
burst to tears as i dived on the bed
pulled the covers as i prayed
I've been used and abused and tortured
not a single friend has stayed

flung the covers on the floor
i stood up so fast
i found a way to end my pain
my future and my past
tip toed down to the kitchen
down the stars and right
i couldn't make a single noise
didn't even risk turning on the light

pulled a knife from the top draw
the sharpest and shiniest of the few
and quickly tip toed back up stairs
suppose you can guess what I'm about to do
firm on my bed i hold the knife
watched it glisten in the light
wishing and praying before i start
that i wouldn't sleep another night

down it came quick and sharp
i couldn't stop, not now
i hope they've realized what they've done
i hope she realizes shes such a cow
i slice away and enjoy the pain
as its Minuit compared to the pain in my head
slice by slash, slash by slice
i pass out, or am i dead
