Drunken Memories

by Johnny Marlin 2   Nov 14, 2004

Time and Time Again
I Resort To Drinking
I Know That's Not Good
But It Gets Me Thinking

About The Past And Present
Good Memories Shared
Times I Drank Too Much
People Saying They Cared

The First Time I Drank
When I Flew Like A Hawk
Free Fall Was Worth It
Hit The Ground Like A Rock

Roaming Around
At Two In the Morning
Sneaking Into The House
To Avoid The Grounding

The Times We Shared
Around The Camp At Night
The Moments Of Passion
And Feeling So Right

But Then I Have Bad
Of Drunken Belligerence
I Am So Sorry I Yelled
I've Missed You Ever Since

So Hears to You
My Alcohol Of Choice
Now I Must Keep Drinking
It Is Time To Rejoice

Sorry, I Wrote This With A Little Bit Of Jack Daniel's In Me. I Hope It's Not To Bad

What made me want to read this poem, was it's title. I must say, it's not what I expected, but I wasn't disappointed at all! Great job.
