All I Want

All I want when the TV is on,
is to not see violence and doings of wrong.

These blind dogs don't know the meaning of peace.
The gunshots continue and never do cease.

What has become of our morals and goals?
In buildings and bodies we proceed to put holes.

All I want is for the fighting to stop.
I wish that the hating and insults could all just be dropped.

But who am I to be telling you this?
When people ignore the fact hatred exists.

We must stand together to conquer this daunt.
Until then I'll keep dreaming about all that I want.
