Getting Over You

Getting Over You

People passed by the window, smiling and talking
They never stopped though, just kept on walking
I sat everyday as you walked past , wanting you in my future
Of nothing else in the world was I so sure
You looked so sad walking alone
Or perhaps I only imagined you that way so I could have you for my own
I try to get the courage to walk outside and say hello
But when I reach the door it fades away and I stand and watch you go
I always wished that fait would play in key
And you would come in and realize you love me
As the days and people passed I began to realize what I had to do
I had to move on with life and get over you

I enjoyed ur poem. Letting go is the hardest thing to do. Especially if you loved someone for so long. Wait that has nothing to with poem. It's me. Well great poem.
