WHISPERS OF STARLIGHT

by Saige   Nov 15, 2004

Unfamiliar voices with silent prayers
Unseen faces with warm gentle smiles
Hands reaching out from afar
Holding a young soul from falling

Like stars to a ship’s captain
The prayers a guiding light
Helped navigate a young voyager
To escape from a darkened sea

Every gray cloud lined with silver
This one laden with gold
A treasure of priceless value lost
Discovery of many new gems

Too soon another love to be lost
Like a great novel every page cherished
Lingering and digesting every written word
Holding on until the covers turn to dust

To all the unseen faces and unfamiliar voices
From a young heart that is on the mend
Comes words of sincere thanks
Filled with love and tender wishes
