He to She

by Dani Ward   Nov 15, 2004

His life was a farce,
he always wore a facade,
he wasn't who he wanted to be,
no matter where his feet trod.
afraid of showing the real him,
and sharing secrets hidden deep,
never would they accept the real him,
he thought when he began to weep.
as he lay down one night,
he looked at the sky,
and he made a wish,
to stop living that lie.
next morning he awoke,
feeling kind of strange,
and when he looked in the mirror,
he thought he'd become deranged.
looking back at him,
was an unknown female,
and though she was beautiful,
her skin was turning pale.
he raised his right hand,
and she mirrored him true,
he looked down at his body,
it was then that he knew.
a wish came true last night,
he was no longer he,
but while he slept so soundly,
he had somehow become she.
and now she could live a new life,
and be the true her,
be who she wanted to be,
go from rags to elogant fur.
she had a chance at life,
to correct what had failed,
she was back on track,
instead of being derailed.
only one secret to hide deep,
of herself and her past,
keep it hidden secure,
right up to the last.
she looked at a picture,
staring at her was he, Jack,
then she burned the past,
never to look back.

i know its kind of strange, but please vote/comment, tell me what you think.
