Dad....

Why do i try and please you day after day?
In my heart, you'll never stay
All of your family, you have betrayed.

You try to beat me, all the day long,
When I'm 18, i swear I'll be gone
You put me down, and never listened to my song.

All the bruises you give me,
Make me more and more want to flee
And with you, I'll never be.

All the times you put me down,
Instead of smile, you make me frown
In your old actions, one day you'll someday drown.

You tell me I'm no good
Unlike any father should
Leave me forever, you probably would.

I don't know if i can take it anymore,
All the time you calling me a hore
Oh how i want to walk out the door.

One day soon you will see
The true happy me
But far away you will be

    This was a sad sad poem you wrote it beautifully but it was so sad. I know no words could and will make you forget the horrible things he has done. But, always think of the dreams you want for yourself, think of your father as a motivational scheme rather then a coward. Everytime he calls you down, think of how you can prove him wrong, take your life to the absolute best and never stop until you have done all that you can until you get there...I have faith in you girl. Your father may not see you as talented but in our eyes you are talented and a very strong individual...I WISH you the absolute best.

    It's a nice poem,but beyond that, I think you should not see things so black..maybe if you are going through so bad stuff you should ingnore you dad's behaviour...it will be for your best...You do not have to put pressure on your self and be sad...!!

    Your poem is so well written and expressed but just so sad.
