Airport

by Mild insomnia   Nov 15, 2004

Speakers overhead sound,
The planes are circling round and round,
Welcome to the airport of my life.

Flights are guaranteed on time,
To get you quickly out my mind,
Welcome to the airport of my life.

People never seem to stop,
They come and then they go,
They build me up until I drop,
But I won’t let it show.

Calling those to gate 52,
This is the last I’ll see of you,
Welcome to the airport of my life.

Final boarding call for France,
You don’t care where as long as you’re there fast,
Welcome to the airport of my life.

No checks needed, just walk through,
After all you’ve somewhere to get to,
Welcome to the airport of my life.

Thank you for choosing thin air,
We hope your flight was good,
Returns are no longer fair,
And they just cost too much.

So one way? Will that be first class?
Does it matter? They all get past,
Welcome to the airport of my life.
