The whispering of the dead

by jenni   Nov 15, 2004

I am the girl you raped
When I was alone one day
And then you pleaded innocent
And quietly skipped away.

I am your beaten partner
Who you shamefully call your wife
You tortured, bruised and battered me
And made me scared of life.

I am your unborn child
The baby that never was
Didn't even have a chance
No father it was because.

I am the boy you murdered
You placed in front of the train
I can still hear your vicious laugh
Over and over again.

I am the lady in the car
You never saw my face
Just crashed my car to pieces
Then drove off without a trace.

I am that innocent schoolgirl
Whose body is a state
Didn't see the bomb coming
Till it was far too late.

I am a pool of blood
I fell from an arm
Now that arm is cold and lifeless
Because you caused the harm.

I am the crying voice
The pain that's in my head
When you listen carefully
You'll hear the whispering of the dead.
