DRENCHED

Alone i stand, feeling the gentle sprinkles moisten my face.
i watch you pull away.
yet again you leave me to be.
i stand there frozen.
i know now my aching heart can not be free.
i am drenched.

you are the one.
you know my body, my soul.
you hold such a part of me which not even i my self can with hold.

if you ask me to jump- i jump.
if you ask me to run- i run.
if you ask me to wait- then I MUST.

i love you, but you must never know.
for if i give you my heart, and you do not comply...
I'll know forever i am not yours.

every where i go a black cloud now follows me.
i cant go on any more, i need you here with me.
once again i am drenched.

i stand up. ..
wipe the moisture off my face and now i realize the wet i feel isn't from the cloud you have left over me. or from the pouring rain. its not you who drenches me, ITS MY TEARS FROM SHAME. i cry from day to day for the fact that your gone and for knowing I'm going to be OK.
