Wish, Hope, Love

Wanting to feel like I belong
I try to be what everyone wants.
Shy little me trying to be what I'm not
Having a hard time finding who I am.
---Wishing I could just be me.

Having thought I found someone, he turns and walks away.
One of these days maybe I will feel the same.
People judge too much, I have found,
Even when the people don't understand.
---Hoping people would look at me as I am.

Looking at people for what they truly are,
Original, and unique is every person on Earth.
Valuing people for who and what they can be
Even when they make mistakes in life.
---Trying to love people for who they are.
