I Hate You

by jennifer   Nov 16, 2004

A young child twelve years old, I thought he could never leave. Years of hiding in mothers shadows, as he would beat her and hurt her.

I hate you father, but I love you too. I wish this could start over new. I hate you for leaving mom alone every night, I hate you for the things you put her through.

So many times, I hoped you would change, but you always treat me like an unknown child. I hate you for lying to me, for leaving me, for the time you hit me.

Why do you do the things you do? Why do you say the things you say? Why can't you be the father I need you to be?
