The Times We Had!!

I met a guy
For the first time
More than a week ago

He seemed so nice
And he was oh so cute
And I felt so happy with him

He always made me laugh
And whenever I was feeling blue
He'd take away the frown
And replace it with a smile

Days went by
And I felt I was falling in love with him
I spent so much time with him
And I had to be with him

We got together
And I met his best friend
The times we spent together
Made my life heaven

I would spend most of my days with him
Always having fun
Feeling never alone

As time went by
It seemed as though he loved me less than before
Of course we'd kissed
But we had done nothing more

A weekend had passed
And I hadn't seen him since the Friday
Which was with one of my best mates
And we spent no more than 10 minutes
Talking at his door

The Monday came
And I was told things
Things that I thought were all lies
But I was soon convinced
By the friend I thought was one of my best
And I dumped him that day

I now regret every minute of it
I knew I should have waited
I knew it would be wrong
But I did it anyway
He was dumped that very day

I still love him inside
But I suppose it had to end at some point
And i guess that was the right time to do it
Cause he kind of expected it

I knew it was too good to be true
And maybe I was right
But I enjoyed the relationship we had
And I will never ever forget it

But I'm glad to say
That we remain friends!
