See Me Now

by FTS Miles   Nov 17, 2004

See me now
In this twilight time,
For my form
Is only true
Where the shadows
Kiss the Light.

I dance in flickerdark
Betwixt the joy and mourn,
A duskglow moan
Savoured 'pon the tongue,
Fingers inviting partner
But footfalls too haunted
To allow companionship.

Oh, do not weep
For this tempest guise;
There is agony calmed
In the softness of my
Song, like the final sobbing
Sigh of wind through
The crumbling mountains
Of a world about to die....
