Life Goes On

Ever since you left me
I thought I’d lost all hope.
Without you standing by my side
I thought I’d never cope.

Without you there to reassure
That it was all okay.
Without you there to let me know
I could live another day.

Without you there to wipe my tears
And quiet me when I was scared,
Without you to keep on telling me
That someone really cared.

Without you standing there with me
To keep me out of strife,
I had no will to even live…
What was the point of life?

But then I met the perfect guy,
The greatest man I’ll ever meet…
And I’m not afraid to say that I
Am now fully complete.
