The mask

by Mich   Nov 17, 2004

Everyday you wake up
and have a pep talk with yourself.
About wearing that damn mask.
You leave the house and prepare
for the unbearable task
The task of wearing that mask
to hide away
To hide all those painful feelings away
Hide them from your friends and from your family
Until you are alone at night
All by yourself
You can take that damn mask off
and let your feelings flow
As the tears run down your face
You cry again
For no one knows the pain your in!

I don't think it's easier to hide the real you....it takes more effort and time. Being yourself is easy!
