You always seem to be there
When I need you
When I'm just fine
Or when I'm truly blue.

You go out of your way to be there for me
You call when I only want to hear the sound of your voice
You give me your advice
When I have to make a tough choice.

I'll never forget the night
After your football game Friday night
You drove 20 miles out of your way
To kiss me goodnight.

And you seemed to read my mind
When someone told me something about you
And you dismissed all my fears
When you confirmed that it wasn't true.

You say everything
I need to hear
When we're cuddling in front of the TV
With you holding me near.

You know what I want
But you as anyway
Just to be sure
If I want you to go, or want you to stay-

I don't have to say a word
It doesn't work that way when you're in love
Instead I lean over and kiss you
And say, "Is that answer good enough?"
