Reunion

by SammiBABY   Nov 17, 2004

Ten years after high school ends,
There's a reunion to see old friends.

I talk to the people and hear all their stories,
Their tearful tales, and all their worries.
I tell them of the sucess I have made,
and the hard work that has finally paid.
My friends worked hard, acheive their dreams,
They all did well as it seems.

The "popular" group has fallen apart,
one killed by an overdose back at the start.
Another in hospital for drink driving,
For people so popular, not many are surviving.
They have bad jobs, they have no money,
They once were "cool" but this is not funny.
The ones who tried hard are filthy rich,
The ones who didn't care sleep in a ditch.
The ones who used to tease me
See my sucsess and be friendly.
I laugh and I turn away,
Not even knowing what to say.

So would you risk your future to be "cool"?
Or have a dream and work herd in school,
