I thanked God,
I thanked him because I fell in love
Its like cupid hit us with
His arrow from so far above

I thanked God for
All those times he’d let us meet
But since you had a bad reputation
My family wasn't so pleased by
All those words on the street

They heard and saw the bad
But never tried to see the good I mean you were to me true gentlemen You treated me like a well mannered guy would

But you were not good enough for my family I knew you were for me
You are the only guy who has made me That everlastingly happy

So, after I lost you Because of everyone else’s crap
I was left there just crying
Crying in my little sisters lap

I prayed every night
For God to send you to me once more But after about five months
I lost sight of what I was praying for

Finally one day
I got that call that would change everything And once you said it was you My heart began to sing

It’s like I got it all back
And you never went away
It’s like all that time we were apart
We never missed a day

I hadn’t been so happy
Since we were together before
And when I lost you
I didn’t know what to do anymore

But this was it
God had brought you back to me
Finally together and happy
We’d together be

After about two weeks
On the count of our second chance
I knew again we were so perfect
In a paradise romance

But then you did it
You ruined it again
You kissed another girl
Although you claimed she’s just a friend

I stormed away
After you gave back my stuff
It was harder then the first time
I had never been through something so rough

God brought you to me
So, we could give it another try
But now looking at what happened
I constantly ask God why?

I guess he brought you to me
To show I’m better off alone
And After our second chance
Us being apart is what is truly shown

Even though I love you
Our second chance was just it
Let’s just say unlike the first time
The second wasn’t such a hit.
