With this Rose

by Keile   Nov 18, 2004

The voice inside my head tells me never sleep
the voice inside my heart tells me never to awaken
the blood runs to my throat
as I swallow down the pain
the paintings on the wall drawn with my own blood
the deafening noise of immortal silence has driven me insane
so far from myself
yet so close to me
this last petal has wilted
to a burning aspiration
I leave this earth with only one plea
take me for who I am nothing else
so here with this dying rose I bleed
