many said it feels like heaven,
but when i tried it
all i felt was hell.
they said it makes you feel complete,
but love ruined everything for me.
love destroyed my fondest dream,
love took away my respect for me.
love is not easy to let go,
i know cos I've tried,
and all i got was a broken heart.
love made me cry,
it hurts so bad i wanted to die.
again i asked, "what is love?"
and yet many still give me the wrong answer.
when will i wake up
with the answer in front of me?
when will i wake up
feeling myself free?
