If I Weren't Here

by liVing lIes   Nov 18, 2004

Maybe if I weren't here
the world wouldn't be as cold
people would lead better lives
there would be less left untold

Maybe if I weren't here
breaking innocent hearts
there would be less depression
one less obstacle driving soul mates apart

Maybe if I weren't here
if I weren't alive
the world would run smoothly
less would have to thrive

Maybe if I weren't here
not yet born
my kin would suffer less
there would be less to adorn

Maybe if I weren't here
never even thought of
relationships would've survived
less lack of love

Maybe if I weren't here
I'd never have to think about sadness
it would be so unfamiliar
i wouldn't be going through this madness

Maybe if I weren't here
of if i had different thoughts
thoughts about love and happiness
where death was never the first action I'd for sought
