Empty Bulding

by Shelby G.   Nov 19, 2004

Golden from top to bottom
Silent from side to side
Clocks inside are all at a stop
As if it had something to hide

Golden sofa, table, and wall
Though gray and dark all day
Empty building is bound to fall
Nothing left for them to say

Golden from top to bottom
Silent from side to side
Clocks inside are all at a stop
As if it had something to hide

Emptyness consuming what is theirs
No sign of love, no sign of tears
Cracked and broken, golden stairs
House of lonlieness, house of fears

Golden from top to bottom
Silent from side to side
Clocks inside are all at a stop
As if it had something to hide
