The Man

by Shelby G.   Nov 19, 2004

A man stood in a box
A box large, with no way out
He fell into peices
He fell apart
One by one
He fell apart
The temperature went up
And he began to melt
In a puddle of himself
He fell to pieces
He fell apart
One by one
He fell apart
Sinking up
He came alive
Free of his guilt
Now posessing wings and a tail
But yet still
He fell to pieces
He fell apart
One by one
He fell apart
One by one
He fell apart
The man took flight
He flew away
He got to the sky
And lost his wings
Slowly slowly
He fell to pieces
He fell apart
The temperature dropped
To 54 degrees
But the man was frozen
He reaches for an itch
And body like glass
He reached for an itch
And once and for all
He fell to pieces
He fell apart
Yes, one by one
He fell apart
His concients dead
His courage gone
His shyness decayed
His whole life departed
He laid in his bed
Dead and gone
But still he felt
Lips caress his
Slowly slowly
He came together
Oh yes, one by one
He came to life
For this man so special
Was not yet ready to die
