The Lovers Veil

by Sarah   Nov 19, 2004

§Dedicated To Untold Secrets§

Open up your eyes
To the hidden lies
See the way they lurk
And breathe into the dark
It's a shadow taking over
But you'll never know, no never
Theirs a life in every hidden face
A heart in every covered grace
Hidden by the wrath of shame
And fired by the lovers flame

Hidden, can't let them see
Been loving, immorally
Your colors can't be seen in the dark
Your dishonesty can't stop when it starts
Caught you red handed
Drinking love from a cup with no handle
Slipping away to reveal
What's beneath the lovers veil

You glow in the shadows
Your crime is no braking news
But when the fog drops, the truth shines
We read what's between the lines
Take a moment to see
What you gave away, cause we couldn't see
You lost all moral dignity
Find the light in every hidden face
You've died in covered grace
It's the veil of darkness
Behind it you can't stop this

Ooh, how the intrigue of illicit love tempts us all. Well, some of us. Another beautiful piece with some interesting concepts.

You appear to be quite the deep thinker, Sarah.
