Worthless?

by Mild insomnia   Nov 19, 2004

Daddy if you’d only see,
Each time you hurt me,
I can’t breathe.
Guess that sometimes you don’t know,
How hard you throw,
When… off you go.

Now I know I’m not perfect,
But I can try,
And if you’d,
Let me loose,
You’d respect,
The heart behind these tired eyes.

No I’m not one to save the world,
I’m no hero,
I’m just a girl.
Maybe you expect too much of me,
Why can’t you see?
I’m only fifteen.

And I know I’m old enough,
To live my life,
So if you’d please,
Let me be,
And just,
Let me get by.

Am I so worthless?
You know that ½ of me’s made up of you,
So,
Am I that worthless?
You say it enough but that don’t make it true.
Am I that worthless?
You know there’s little I can do,
So,
Am I so worthless?
You know that half of me’s made up of you.
