The Day She Died

There once was a girl who fell in love
she felt she could reach the sky above
but when that boy turned her down
she gave up on life and decided to drown
that boy ran out into the creek
and saw the girl who he thought was a freak
he started to cry, he started to shake
he couldn't believe his big mistake
he carried her home, crying so hard
then looked on the ground, and saw a card
he leaned down to pick up the note
and this is what that one girl wrote:
Broken hearts can never mend
Even if you try to pretend
A boy turned me down and that's when I cried
Today is the day he'll remember I died
