I lie there warm and cozy,
Not afraid of anything.
Nothing can hurt me,
And get through my blanket.
It is my protection,
My own bodyguard.
No harm can come to me.
I feel safe and happy.
Under my blanket,
There are no bullies allowed
There is no one to make fun of me,
No tears at all.
There are no judging people,
Not even bad stares.
Because you see,
It is a peaceful place.
There are no unhappy feelings,
No deaths or pain.
I love it oh so much,
And never want it to end.
But everything must end,
At some point or another.
Oh how much I hate,
The awakening sound,
Of my uncharming alarm clock.
I have to get up.
I hear my mom calling.
I sit up straight,
And get ready to face the world,
Of pain and stress.
And come face-to-face
With reality.
