The Way

by Krete   Nov 20, 2004

It is bright across the way.
The way I used to take,
when i walked with you.

Its fine by myself.
I can bear the burden of the longer walk alone.
I'm more in control now. I'm more of me.

Its hard seeing you everyday.
My evasion of your excitatory aura,
it just saddens me.

Burdens grow heavy,
as deep thoughts readily recall days of lust.
And yet, I take the longer way.

Often i am forgotten.
And seeing you alone,
makes me want to cry.

Lakey visions,
milky moments,
those teared up seconds...

How can I walk alone.
The way was better; your fad was better.
Like the effect of butter on dry bread, it gave me laughter.

When my ship returns for New hope Bay,
I will stand on the dock and say,
"It was a sweet a while, in the way.
It was a part of me, a part from day.
A moment of bliss formed passions,
enamoring me, holding on to me for a dear breath...

...You use to captivate me---and as I walk away:

All I can say;
Is Good Day.
