Wanted You to Care

by deadnalone   Nov 20, 2004

This one isn't about me.

Smiling and laughing, meeting with friends,
Can they see her hiding, from her fate, her end,
She is worthless, sat all on her own,
Rocking gently, she sobs and she moans,
There is no purpose to the life that she lives,
All that she does and all that she gives,
Is pointless, unwanted, thrown away,
No one gives her a thought or looks her way,
No one notices the desperation in her face,
They just walk on by; they quicken their pace,
If they sit near her or work with her in a lesson,
They must try really hard to give her no attention,
When someone hides themselves away,
Don't you always ask them if they're okay?
Well this girl feels alone and doesn't understand,
Why if she cries and shows that she wants to be found,
Why no one will help her from this rut,
The terrible place in which she is stuck,
Bad feelings haunt her, horrible memories,
The things that she does and the things that she sees,
But still she cries all alone,
No place to go, no loving home,
Now you pity this poor, lonely teen,
But when you saw her before you ignored what you'd seen,
Now take your pity and put it elsewhere,
And help this girl, who wanted you to care.
