Demon Of The Night

Downcast, Dejected, No freedom to fight,
Feeling rejected, from my Demon of the night
Eyes like fire, Energy galore,
Only returns when he’s hungry for more

Can’t deal, Can’t cope,
Just can’t seem to find my hope,
Depression and Despair
Here once again, Home in his lair

Broken heart, Black skies,
Salt tears from my empty eyes,
Sadness and sorrow,
I long for tomorrow,

Split me in half, Slice me apart,
Lie to my face, Rape my heart,
No pleasure to smile, No joy to sing,
Try as I might, it won’t change a thing

Sullen and Sour, Spirits are low,
Cuts bleeding inside, Can’t let it show,
Steal away my passion, Suck away my pride,
Take what you want, Then toss me to the side

Headaches and stress,
From being trapped in this mess,
Blinding and Burning,
This time I’m learning,

Starting to feel dead, Starting to go numb
I must keep waiting, My salvation will come,
Then this time I’ll prove it, Then this time you’ll see
No matter what you do, you can’t destroy me

Disgusting, Despicable, you are the darkness in every man,
Satanic, Sinister, Sneaking out whenever you can
Possessing their souls, Finding pleasure in our pain,
You are their potential for jealousy, or a betrayal such as Cain

You are no longer cunning, You are no longer clever
I Believe your time is up, I Banish you forever
Leave my side, leave my sight,
Damn you to Hell, Demon of the Night

*This poem is about the dark side, and the prick that guys have the potential to be. They seem so different in the beginning its almost as if they turn into another person.
