In Memory Of A Friend

by Johnny Marlin 2   Nov 21, 2004

I Remember My Friends
The Way They Used To Be
When We Were All Innocent
To A Certain Degree

Those Were The Days
When We Snuck Out At Night
The Most Harmful Thing
Was A Quick Hallway Fight

Those Days Are Gone
They Are In The Past
I Only Now Wish
They Would Still Last

He Was A Friend
Liked By The Mass
And Would You Believe
Grades Top Of The Class

He Always Seamed Happy
Nothing Got Him Down
Charismatic And Funny
He Never Showed A Frown

The Way I Remember
I Liked Him that Way
But I Read His Obituary
In The Paper Today

He Was Eighteen
When He Took His Last Breath
Heroin And A Needle
An Unnecessary Death

He Will Be Missed
By Family And Friend
It Truly Is A Shame
His Untimely End

In Memory of Billy Bergman, 18, of Bethel Park, Pa. May you Rest In Peace.

Simply stunning and beautiful- a lovely tribute to your friend. I'm sorry that his life had to end like that, though.

That was really sad, i almost cried. I wish i could write something so deep. Sorry for your friend, losing someone is always impossibly hard, as we all eventually find out.
