I wish I had a friend
one honest and true

like I use to have you

We use to be so close
everything we'd share
but then I had to move away
and you started not to care

Sure we kept in touch
but things aren't the same
You're like a whole new person
Everything has changed

We still talk
but not like we use to
You have found someone else
Someone I guess more true

I know we get into our fights
but all best friends do
I just wish I knew how
to make our friendship new

I want things back
to the way they use to be
like when we were best friends
just you and me

Maybe one day
