Once More

by Driver   Nov 21, 2004

Sharp screams of pain can be heard through a dark and cold night. Whispers ride the wind to an ear caught off guard. A heart is crying out to the loved one that is lost. Tears of blood run down his face, looking for the answers. What are the answers to the mysteries being sent his way? What was said or done that made her fade out with the night? She does not realize the pain and carries on with life. Yet he feels crushed and unable to live any longer. Prayers go unanswered through the dark eternity, leaving him hopeless. How much longer can he take it before he winds up lifeless? The love he had is what kept him alive, living with joy. But it was stripped of him, feeling like a little boy. Should he walk on and try to fight the world? Or should he lie down and never get up? Should he leave behind the happiness he has been stripped of? Or get up and try once more?
