Attempted suicide

by Lauren Lee   Nov 22, 2004

Who is this girl i see in the mirror?
This sacred soul instilled with fear.
Trying to grab hold to a life she once knew.
Trying to let go of this self inflicted bruise.
Losing hope; losing faith,
As she meets her destined fate.
Carving words in her skin,
Realizing she can never win.
Can't wait till death, wishes it was near.
Dying alone she doesn't fear.
Trying to grasp a concept of life,
Without going through pain and strife.
Giving too much not getting enough,
Preceding the day without any love.
Holding a rose; wilted and old.
Petals fall turning cold.
Hitting the floor one by one,
Till the stem is left and done.
Crying, screaming, letting go,
suicide she wishes to fore go.
Gun at her head; no one around.
Hoping no one will hear the sound.
They'll say shes missing but really shes dead.
Eventually people will forget.
She pulled the trigger and dropped the gun,
It didn't shoot the bullet was a dud.
