Judgement Day

by Leah20   Nov 22, 2004

Sitting in the classroom
Staring at the wall
Having to deal with their whispers
This has always been her downfall
She wonders always "Why me?"
She doesn't want to live this way
Still hearing the whispers
She turns to them to say:

"Why do you judge me?
When you don't even know me
Why don't you care
That with your words you can tear
My breaking heart in two
It's getting harder to pull through
Why do you judge me?"

Followed by silence
Then broken by laughter
She knew that this would happen
This was what was the matter
Again they had judged her
And they didn't even care
Again they sent her tumbling
Into a pit of despair
And again she asked:

"Why do you judge me?
What will it take
For you to see
Your words: they tear
My aching heart again
Why can't you give me a break
Give my heart time to mend
Why do you judge me?"

Now hysterical laughter
No one even cares
She's decided that there's something That she must do
She decides to disappear
Fading into darkness
All fear is now gone
She has finally done what
She knew she should have all along
No more does she cry
No more is she forced to carry the weight
No longer does she have to deal with all of their hate
And from the grave she whispers:

"Why did you judge me?
You knew this would happen
Why didn't you stop me
Why didn't you reach out your hand
Now can you finally see
How your words tore my heart
Now that I'm gone
You're left wondering
Why did you judge me?"

"What can't you give me a break"
is that meant to say Why can't you give me a break?

Very nicely written, it really is sad how strong of an impact others can have when they pick on someone. Good work
