Last breath

by ashley buzzard   Nov 23, 2004

Everyone stares
and gives her those looks
she wears
those black clothes
and has no friends
she speaks her mind
not caring what they think
always getting into trouble
for she is afraid of nothing
people just don't understand
even if she tried to share
they couldn't begin to get it
she goes home
self inflicting pain
to much is going on
she feels she cant
take it anymore
she feels alone
and misunderstood
she sits down
to write a few thoughts
laying it on her bed
and sliding her dresser
under her fan
for that rope has
been hanging there
for quite some time
and now it will finally
serves its purpose
she stands tall
placing it around her neck
as a tear falls down her cheek
she steps off the dresser
pain rushing through her body
but she doesn't fight back
closing her eyes
never to look back
