We met not so long ago,
For some reason, it felt so right.
It was then I had come to know
And believe in love at first sight.
We spent so much time since then
Joyous as could possibly be.
But then there came a day when
I knew you could never love me.
That was the end of our attraction.
The finale I never thought would come.
With your addiction to attention
And my habit of acting dumb.
So we made a pact to postpone
Our love, to put it in our past.
Until the day it could be known
And our love could finally last.
Yet we went our seperate ways
Never again shall we reunite.
But I'll spend the rest of my days
Remembering what once felt so right.
