Dark Day

by Shelby G.   Nov 23, 2004

He walked through the doorway
And looked at the wall
Written in blood
"Your life-line is small"
The door was shut
As the boy began to cry
He asked himself
"Am I going to die?"
His palms were sweaty
His knees began to shake
His tears dark and bloody
There was no mistake

A transparent smile
As sharp as a knife
Smiled for a wile
At the boy's lost life
What did he do
To deserve this grave
One things for sure
The boy was brave
He had so long dreamed
Of his future wife
But his last words
Had cost him his life
"I hate you! I hate you! Go away!"
And his father took his life
That very dark day
