The Hope

by Ashamed   Nov 23, 2004

I see her most days
I fantasize and craze
Over how she looks
And how she puts me in a daze

I can only dream
Of what could be
With her it would seem
Why is life so damn mean?

A kiss would be great
And being more than a mate
I was stupid to pass on
The chance of a date

But I sit here and hope and I play with some rope
And I’m so bored of waiting, lifes worse than a soap.

Hey, this poem is pretty good. I think that the rhyme scheme gets a bit too noticeable the closer you get to the end of the poem, and by noticeable I mean a bit unnatural. But I think the message of the poem is one that many can relate to, and despite my previous comment concerning the rhyme scheme, the actual words chosen to rhyme were of high quality.
