The rose of friendship

by Jamie   Nov 23, 2004

Here’s a rose of friendship,
Beauty engraved in each petal,
It stands the test of time,
For nothing less our friendship will settle.

Each petal represents a stage,
A challenge won, or new beginning,
For through all the times we’ve shared,
There’s always something we’re winning...

Though some petals are more wilted then others,
Faded on the edge,
It’s those hard times we have conquered,
We didn’t fall off the ledge.
A moment closer to forever.

So many special petals,
So effortless, so simple and pure,
Our friendship is just as natural,
It was meant to be and that’s for sure.
A friendship no one can sever.

Some petals may be brighter then others,
I know we’ve had our “bright” days,
Parties, movies, or shopping,
We’ve made memories in so many ways.
Another day we’ll treasure.

And though the roses are wilted,
And look as though they’re done,
They’ll live on forever in here,
Because our friendship has more to come...
As we grow through life together.
