My War!

by *tanya*   Nov 24, 2004

Another scar is added to the ranks.
Abominable sins I've placed upon my skin.
Each the result of a lie, or a hurtful word.
Results of the pain deep beneath the flesh.
Pain yearning to reach the surface.
It erupts in blood as my blade is dragged.
A morbid smile fills my face, twisted into bitter triumph.
The constant itch reminds me of my wounds.
Battle wounds show my mind is waging war with my body.

This poem is short, yet it conveys poweful emotions and such. It is very witty and creative. You are, indeed, the tortured poet.
