Emotional Detox

by PAUL HEWSON   Nov 24, 2004

I need emotional detox
lots more time and no ticking clocks,
i need emotional closure
not expensive and dangerous exposure.
i wrote all my own memories ,
and i chose one, chose one of these.
buried my head into the sand,
felt as naked as an ungloved hand.
i forgave my worst enemy
yes , i did .I forgave me
i need emotional release
not disturbance of my inner peace
i need emotional closure
no more extensive exposure
some rock and roll blues
or television news
anything thats not about you
all the lies , but nothing true
emotional detox
no clocks
emotional closure
no exposure
inner peace
tension release
TV news
nothing about you..

Paul, right now I can relate to this alot.

Unfortunately, we all make mistakes just some of us learn from them better and instead of dwelling on them we move on and others can't move on so do need an 'emotional detox'
Your words, rhyme and flow are perfect.

Ooh. Nice poem. Wonderfully written. I had a friend that went through something like this once... in the end, everything turned out ok.
